Gables Insurance Recovery has more than 77 years of experience handling insurance claims for clients affected by hurricanes, floods, and other losses.

How It Works

Gables Insurance Company’s experts are trained and licensed to appraise your property, assess the damage to it, and to help you prepare the paperwork needed to claim your insurance benefits. We can also assist you in negotiating with the insurance company to try to get you the maximum benefits due to you under your policy.

We do not charge any fees up front, and you do not pay us anything unless you receive a settlement from the insurance company.

Public Adjuster

Carlos Plana is a licensed Florida public adjuster with extensive knowledge of the insurance industry. He has more than twenty five years of experience in claims adjusting, liability, and other insurance matters.

Mr. Plana has spent extensive time helping hurricane and storm victims in Florida and the Caribbean.

Robert N. Pelier, Esq.

General Counsel, WIND Certified Umpire®

With more than twenty years of insurance litigation experience in Florida’s state and federal courts, Robert N. Pelier is an active member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Pelier is the founder and managing partner of the Law Offices of Robert N. Pelier, P.A. has been an active member, in good standing, of the New York State Bar Association and Florida Bar since 1994, and has also received an “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings—indicating that other lawyers across U.S. and Canada regard him as having high ethical standards and excellent legal ability.

Mr. Pelier received his law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1993 after obtaining a BA from Rutgers University. MrPelier is also a WIND Certified Umpire®.

Aimee Gunnels Esq. In-house Counsel

Aimee Gunnells litigates past-due insurance claims. She also manages litigation case files, from pre-suit to post-judgment proceedings. She conducts depositions of insurance adjusters, experts, and other witnesses.

Ms. Gunnells has been an active member, in good standing, of the Florida Bar since May 2005.

Adriana de Armas, Esq. In-house Counsel

Adriana de Armas litigates past-due insurance claims. She also manages litigation case files, from pre-suit to post-judgment proceedings. She conducts depositions of insurance adjusters, experts, and other witnesses.

Ms. de Armas has been an active member, in good standing, of the Massachusetts Bar Association since December 2011, New York State Bar Association since February 2012, and Florida Bar since May 2013.

Lisa Sanchez, Public Adjuster/
Corporate Representative

Lisa Sanchez has extensive experience in the analysis, processing, and payment of insurance claims. She has vast knowledge of the claims process and vast experience dealing with insurance providers who don’t want to pay claims. Ms. Sanchez’s responsibilities include testifying in trial proceedings.

Wind Umpires

Wind Umpires solve property valuation issues between insurance company and the insured (you). If the insurance company and the insurer cannot agree the amount of the loss or damage, or the amount necessary to repair or replace property lost or damaged, an Wind Umpire will resolve the validation issue.
